The Foxtrotters Ballroom Dances made the airwaves in September on National Public Radio’s Atlanta Station WABE (FM 90.1), on the “City Cafe” program.  Producer Kate Sweeney joined The Foxtrotters at our August dance to interview our members and record The Junction Band for airing during National Ballroom Dance Week in September.

August 2014

National Public Radio Station WABE sent Producer, Kate Sweeney, to record our dance and interview our leadership and members.  The segment will air during National Ballroom Dance Week in September.

NPR Producer, Kate Sweeney, interviewed our Club Co-President, Barbara, to let WABE’s listeners know what a great ballroom dance club we have in East Cobb.

We made the news again in the Marietta Daily Journal.  Lifestyle Editor, Kathy Goldsberry, decided that The Foxtrotters Ballroom Dances is one of the “Top 5 Things To Do in Cobb”  and said so in the newspaper that was published on the day of our July dance!  Click on the link below to read the article.

CBS46 “Better Mornings Atlanta” TV

The Foxtrotters Ballroom Dances made their debut on CBS television when reporter, Rebekka Schramm, joined us at the East Cobb Senior Center.  Our dancers went on live television twice in one hour, totaling 7.25 minutes of air time.  We had a great turnout and danced the Swing and our namesake Foxtrot to the 18-piece Memory Lane Jazz Ensemble big band.

Fox5 Atlanta TV News

The holidays were ushered in with November’s very special “Toys for Tots” dance.  We made the airwaves with Fox5 TV filming our fantastic Marine Corporals and American Legion Color Guard presentation to accept our donated toys.  Click on the screen below to see the television broadcast!
