Our Dances – 2016


It was a fantastic Ho Ho Holiday celebration at The Foxtrotters December dance.  With 86 dancing afficionados filling the ballroom, it was a gay and festive evening for all!


The Memory Lane Band brought down the house with their big band sound!


They crooned Christmas tunes and wonderful oldies for The Foxtrotters to dance.


Club President, Barbara and her husband, Jack opened the dance in style.


The Foxtrotters thoroughly enjoyed the evening . . . you can’t beat dancing and meeting up with old friends!


The Foxtrotters filled the floor with twirls and swirls to the terrific music.


These musicians played their hearts out for The Foxtrotters Christmas dance!


Our handsome gentlemen were proud to show off their lovely ladies on the dance floor.


Friday night at the East Cobb Senior Center was the perfect way to top off the holidays!


Who could resist dancing and listening to The Memory Lane Band!


Club President, Barbara said thank you to the head of our decorating committee, Pat for all of the hard work she and her fellow decorators have done for the Club.


The Foxtrotters had four birthdays to celebrate . . . Carolyn, Betty, Jack (who celebrated his November birthday this month) and Ray.


Glennis and C.W. celebrated an unbelievable 54 years of wedded bliss!


Joanne was our lucky winner in the “Dancing for Dollars” drawing, taking home a whopping $45!


Ray had the winning card in our “Secret Samba” contest, and took home a beautiful oriental vase . . . most likely for his lovely wife!

Our Foxtrotters’ November dance was a success, with 48 ballroom afficionados displaying their dancing prowess.  The theme for the evening was “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” and our room decor displayed the colors of autumn with pretty red, orange and yellow flowers and pumpkins everywhere.  Our decorating committee for the evening was Pat, Jim, Anne, Kathy, Joe and Riley.  It was also our Annual Toys for Tots Drive, and our members brought some terrific toys for the children!


The Continentals Band entertained us with Cha-Chas, Rumbas, Waltzes and our namesake, Foxtrots.


As you can see, our Foxtrotters know how to take full advantage of a fun evening!

We all enjoyed not only the music and dancing, but the great camaraderie that is found at every Foxtrotters’ dance.


All of our Foxtrotters look forward to an evening each month that harkens back to a time of elegance, grace and romance in the grand ballroom!


Our Foxtrotters know their steps when ballroom dancing, and are not afraid to have fun with them!


We celebrated four Foxtrotters’ birthdays in November:  Charlie, Anne, Frank and Helen.


Genelda was our winner of the evening in our “Secret Samba” contest.  She took home a lovely white crackled ceramic candle holder.

The Foxtrotters Annual Masked Ball was magical, with 49 ballroom aficionados filling the East Cobb Senior Center ballroom.  Decorating the room with fanciful masks and colorful beads for our dancers were Pat, Jim and Joe.  They did a wonderful job!


The Junction Band spun their wonderful web of special tunes for our dancers.


As you can see, the Foxtrotters love to dance and have a great time!


It was swaying room only on the ballroom dance floor.


A spell was cast on our Foxtrotters at our October Masked Ball!


This was a lovely musical interlude!


The Junction Band made the perfect backdrop for our dancers, not to mention their great music!


The Foxtrotters took to the dance floor for a lively “Electric Slide!”

It was all smiles and a fun evening for our Foxtrotters.

Louise was the winner of a beautiful silver frame in our “Secret Samba” contest.  Presenting the prize was our Club President, Barbara.

The Foxtrotters celebrated National Ballroom Dance Week at the East Cobb Senior Center!


Despite the heat outside, there were lots of “cool cats” on the dance floor!


There were 51 Foxtrotters having a great time at our September dance.


The Continentals Band did a great job entertaining us with their wonderful music, including our theme song for the night, “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree.”


If you weren’t there, you sure missed a fun time on the ballroom floor!

We started off the Fall season with a bang last night!


Whether it’s the Cha-Cha, the Swing or our namesake Foxtrot, our Foxtrotters always have a great time!


We even enjoy line dancing, including The Electric Slide!


We celebrated three birthdays last night . . . Linda, Harry and Susie.  Happy Birthday to all of you!!


Our winner in the “Secret Samba” contest was Susie, who took home a pretty autumn garden stake.  Lucky Susie!

The Foxtrotters Dance Club kicked off the new 2016-2017 Season with a “hot, hot, hot” start.  The Junction Band ushered in the new year for us with some great “sum, sum, summertime” tunes!!

The Foxtrotters’ 19th Annual Anniversary Dinner/Dance was a huge success!  The Junction Band played our favorite tunes for this special evening.

The evening began with a delicious dinner provided by Superior Catering.  The Foxtrotters dined on mozzarella chicken and mushrooms sauteed in a sherry wine sauce, a vegetable medley, cheese tortellini in a marinara sauce, a Caesar salad with assorted breads, and a delectable variety of cakes.

Our Valentine’s dance warmed the hearts of The Foxtrotters Dance Club, as The Junction Band entertained us with some wonderful music!  (We tried some mood lighting for this song, but it just didn’t quite work out for the camera, so we went back to our regular lighting!)
